Direkt vom Feld has collaborated with professional chef and author Markus Sämmer to develop Miriquidi-Rub, a spice blend made from whole ingredients that is reminiscent of the aromas of dense forests and goes perfectly with hearty dishes.
Markus Sämmer, who shares his passion for nature and high-quality ingredients, was instrumental in selecting the 14 high-quality spices contained in the blend.
The name “Miriquidi” comes from the historic primeval forest in the Ore Mountains, which describes the blend perfectly.

Markus Sämmer is an experienced professional chef, author and passionate hunter who incorporates his passion for fresh, natural ingredients into every creation.
The idea for the Miriquidi-Rub was born during a visit to Lake Ammersee, where Markus experimented with a self-hunted game dish together with Direkt vom Feld.
The result was so convincing that the Miriquidi rub was born – a blend that captures the essence of the forest and nature.

The Miriquidi rub consists of whole spices that only develop their full aroma when ground or crushed shortly before use.
This method protects the essential oils and ensures a more intense, fresher taste.
A spice cutter, a high-quality spice grinder or a mortar and pestle are suitable for grinding.

The Miriquidi rub is an aromatic, intense spice blend that impresses with its combination of warm, earthy and fresh, resinous flavors.
It is perfect as a rub for meat, marinades and breading, as well as for refining stews, soups and game dishes.
To develop the full aroma, the spices should be roasted before use.
